English is very important for me because if you go to another country where they speak another language that you do not know, you can use English to communicate.
English today is important for going to another country, for getting a job…
Nowadays almost everything is
in English: books, games, videogames…
I was at home one day playing football video games with my brother and father. We were reading an advice of the game in English that was on the screen, saying that you had to go to one site. I read it and I understood. We won the game because knowing English is very useful and important.
Watch this video with funny situations which may happen if you don’t know English:
And a more serious one about the importance of English nowadays

Has English ever been useful for you? Foreign languages are taught in most of the schools, because of that, many children are able to communicate in other languages. English can be useful in many aspects of your life, such as travelling or getting a job.
I love English, and besides, I think it is great to learn a language that is spoken all over the world and it’s really important when you visit foreign countries. When I received the First Communion I asked for a trip abroad to practise English, so went to Brussels. Although Belgium isn’t an English-speaking country, I could communicate with everyone there: at the mall, at the hotel and in restaurants. I had lots of fun! Speaking English was fantastic since I speak neither French nor Dutch.
My experience using English to interact with other people, and not only to do exercises in the workbooks, has encouraged me to continue learning this lovely language. After this trip I continued travelling to other cities, Istanbul and Munich, they were also great!
This was my experience using English, what about yours?

Hello everyone, I want to recommend you the book in English ‘Harry Potter and the half-blood prince’ by J.K Rowling.
Of all the English books I have read I think this is the most interesting of all.
It is a novel book of 768 pages about the sixth story of Harry Potter. It has a lot of mystery.
It contains a lot of different vocabulary so you will learn a lot of English. The most interesting part of the book is the end, so it has you hooked until you end reading it.
It is about Harry Potter, who finds a potion book of the half-blood prince with invented spells (that really functioned) and a lot of new things. When Dumbledore dies because Snape kills him, Harry tries to hurt him with a spell of the half-blood prince and he realizes Snape was the owner of the book.
I recommend it to people who want to learn English and like Harry Potter books.

This entry is to show you that English is very important for your life.
Firstly, English is important because if you go to a city where people only speak English, you cannot communicate with them if you don´t speak it. For example, if you go to France and don´t know how to speak French, you can speak English with them and they will do the same with you.
Furthermore, English is a language that you must learn at school and by yourself, because it is mandatory.
Also, my experience to be the first bilingual class of Primary in our school is that I have learnt more English than the rest of the school and I feel very excited. I am not afraid of learning less Spanish because I was born in Spain and I can always learn later.
Check our school website for information:
WHAT DO YOU THINK?…
DO YOU ALSO THINK THAT ENGLISH IS IMPORTANT?
